Giving Tuesday is the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. It is a “global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world”. Giving Tuesday began as a simple idea in 2012: a day that encourages people to do good. The Shepherd’s Center of Northern Virginia is honored to be recognized in 2021 as “One of the Best” DC area charities by the Catalogue for Philanthopy, and is one of select non-profits chosen to be highlighted by them for Giving Tuesday 2021. The Catalogue for Philanthropy Greater Washington is the region’s only locally-focused guide to giving and volunteering.
